The Albuquerque Rose Society manages and maintains the
Albuquerque Rose Garden surrounding the Tony Hillerman Library.
We are an all volunteer non-profit corporation. Primary financial support of the garden is
through our fund raisers
such as the garden product sales during the Pruning
Demonstrations held in March.
Work at the garden includes pruning, deadheading (removing
spent blooms), fertilizing, planting, weed control
and irrigation system
maintenance and monitoring.
You do not have to be a member of the Albuquerque Rose
Society to volunteer but membership is encouraged.
Membership includes our monthly newsletter,
advance notice of our meetings, educational programs and special events.
All work assignments are organized and
directed by Charlene and the garden committee.
Contact Charlene Bacchus, Garden Committee Chairman, at 255-9233, if you
would like to volunteer.
The Albuquerque Rose Society is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Corporation. Financial donations to help support the rose
garden are
tax deductible and are very welcome.
Please let us know if you need a receipt for your donation.
