This year’s show, “The American Journey: Celebrating 250 Years,” is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Albuquerque Garden Center. The show will showcase the best roses in town with awards, a raffle of 5 beautiful roses, and lots of information on rose growing in Albuquerque!

American Rose Society members Kitty Belendez and the late Bob Belendez have produced several 5-minute videos on grooming hybrid teas for a rose show. Note that a long stem with lots of foliage is expected for Hybrid Teas, but other types will have a much shorter stem. If your blooms look nothing like this, don’t worry! There are other classes in which they can be entered.
